BBQ AT LYNN & WINSTON'S HOME

Dear Lynn & Winston

Just a 'Thank You' for the wonderful time we had at your place yesterday. The grandchildren were amazing with all their sports activities from swimming to football. I enjoyed a bit of the football game and missed out on some of the photo action shots of Alex and Jacob scoring  goals against David and myself.

The swimming was a full days fun for the kids as they spent most of the time in the pool and what fun watching them swim and play games.

Lynn and Winston, all the BBQ food you prepared was excellent and with the Pims and drinks flowing made it a perfect Sunday with the sun shining all all right through the day. Pity I had to leave for my gig.

P.S. Yvette phoned just a few minutes to say Win and Lynn had a second BBQ in the evening with more fun swimming including Yvette jumping into the pool again. We really missed out but look forward to another soon.

Sunday family BBQ at 5 Parklands Way

Hi Folks

Just a quick 'thank you' for your good company yesterday, Sunday 12th June 2010 making it a great day full of laughter with all the kids having fun with their games and our two babies S&S.

Yvette May certainly ordered the good sunshine proposing we have a BBQ. The weather though not too hot kept everyone outside making it fun. A million thanks to David May for cooking all the food on the BBQ. What would we do without his expert touch.

Our two babies Sheba and Suki were well spoilt with all the kids playing with them all day long especially in their new garden play room.

It is always difficult to plan a BBQ well in advance but the next one will be when Yvette orders the 'sunshine and bright skies' so we have to wait for her instructions.

BBQ PARTY PHOTOGRAPHS

Zanzibar/UK Team Welcome Mervyn & Pervin

Dear Zanzibar Team Members and Friends

May 2010 has been a very hectic month with several activities falling in place one after another and highlighted by the visit of our very special friends Mervyn and Pervin (the King and Queen of Arusha/Zanzibar as known to our team). 

We were honoured to have M and P stay with us for a few days making it possible for us to meet up with our UK team members Patsy, Derek and Diana De Lord, Betty and Benny, including very special Zanzibari's, Alexander and Annabella Fernandes, Dr. Betty Spry & Alan and Walter Nunes and Merelia.

We were fortunate to have a fairly bright day which was full of good memories of our time we had in Arusha and Zanzibar followed by unlimited jokes and laughter with a good old sing song session ending the evening with a late night card session going into the early hours of the morning.

Highlight of our garden party for M&P was greeted with the great news of Alex and Anna becoming grandparents with their 5th grandchild named Alexander. We toasted with Champagne with comipliments from Alex and Anna and we were all able to see the arrival of the new baby born in Singapore on SKYPE where we all conveyed our congratulations to proud parents Dr. Angelo and Vinny Fernandes.

Betty was certainly kept busy most of May which commenced helping me build an outside play house for our two babies Sheba and Suki followed by assisting my son Winston deck the Koi pond with a store room below and the wedding of my nephew Richard, son of Jerome and Clarisse de Souza with Mike and Yvette Muise being our guests and my youngest sister Rhoda staying with Alex and Anna. All told it was all fun all the time and as a token of rememberance of all our activities I have attached a couple of extra links of some of the fun parties. Unfortunately I was unable to take photographs at Richard's wedding as I had to provide the entertainment with my dance band Black Velvet - some of the photos were kindly provided by my sister Yvette.

The wedding of Richard and Angela de Souza held at the Hilton Park Lane London was a fabulous occasion.

Other activities included family and relatives get-together.

P.S. Dear Rooky, John, Hilda and Tony - we missed you 'A' Team members greatly but did not fail to talk of our great times we had in Zanzibar and all the fun with Mervyn and Pervin. We must meet again in Zanzibar 2011 without a fail. Love to you all. Benny
